One Dead, Many Injured in Bertoua Road Accident

One person has been confirmed dead while several others sustained injuries in a road accident in Bertoua, East Region of Cameroon.

The accident reportedly resulted from a collision between a commercial motorbike and a heavy-duty truck. The commercial motor bike had 3 persons on-board.

The deceased, according to sources, was amongst the 3 passengers on-board the motorbike.

Some eyewitnesses blame the accident on overspeeding while others blamed it on the poor states of roads.

Alerted, the firefighter unit of Bertoua rushed to the scene where they rescued the injured victims and restored circulation after roads were blocked for a while.

The injured were rushed to the Bertoua Regional Hospital where they are currently receiving treatment.
