Cameroonians living in Ghana have offered food donations to over 80 countrymen who are stranded in the country.
The food was handed to them during a ceremony organised by the Cameroon diaspora in Ghana on Sunday, April 9.
The food donation aimed to “help put smiles on the faces of our brothers and sisters,” said Asonglefac Martin, Secretary General of the association of Cameroonians living in Ghana.
“Some group of men in USA, some in Cameroon, is working with one chief in Ghana, deceiving over 80 Cameroonians, collected 8 million each from them,” he told MMI.
Most of the Cameroonians stranded in Ghana are young people, both men and women.
Reports say they are being aided by agents who want to smuggle them into the United States, a journey thousands of Cameroonians have ventured through within the past few years.
