Cameroonian-born American writer, Patrice Nganang has sued the Swiss Hotel famous for lodging Cameroon’s aging President, Paul Biya when he visits Switzerland. The activist indicts the hotel for racial discrimination.
Patrice Nganang is believed to have paid to lodge inside the Hotel. It is said that the writer demanded to be given the room which was opposite President Paul Biya’s in the Hotel, but he was denied.
This caused him to file a case against the Hotel as he argues they denied letting him sleep in the room which he had paid for online.
The Hotel also denied refunding the money which he had paid for the room, despite it being made clear by the hotel that money for lodging was refundable in case the customer didn’t occupy the room.
He has equally issued a complaint against the Geneva Police for their part in what he calls assisting the Intercontinental Hotel in acts of discrimination against him.
