Pregnant UBa Female Student Allegedly Commits Suicide

A Level One Student of the Faculty of Law and Political Science in the Bamenda University whose name we got as Mbuena Tecla is said to have committed suicide after consuming a poisonous substance over the weekend.

MMI gathered that her mother scolded her when she was found pregnant.

“She was rushed to a health facility in Bambili after he had consumed the poisonous substance and all attempts to safe her were futile,” said a source.

But another source has a different testmony. “She tried to get rid of the pregnancy and died in the process.”

MMI is yet unsure which of the above versions is true.

Her remains have been preserved at the Regional Hospital Mortuary in Bamenda pending burial.
