Pro -separatists celebrate Cameroon’s shameful CHAN exit

Cameroon’s intermediate lions have been beaten at the semifinals of the ongoing African Nations Championship, CHAN.

Ironically, many English speaking Cameroonians have been expressing satisfaction with the four nil defeat.

Citing the ongoing war in the minority English speaking regions,”… Were these guys really ready to win this match ? No way. With all the blood that is spilling in the North West and South West Regions? A win for the Lions in Limbe is an impossibility,” reacts a fan.

He added that “if the lions won the game, “it would have meant the ancestors of Limbe are sleeping. How can in a hold intermediate lions there is no Anglophone inside the team?”

Pro separatists have also been vocal about the Lions’ defeat, and had earlier called for a lockdown to foil the tournament.

A pro separatist has described the defeat as anger of the gods.

“The gods of the innocents, voices shouting from graveyards and prisons, mixed with unending detonation of explosives deafened the ears of the Lions, blindfolded their eyes as defending champions, Morocco pounced on them like a bag of potatoes,” he wrote.

Describing Yaounde and Douala as good hosts, he says they catapulting the Lions into the crucial stages of the competition,”… but Victoria, that has for long been wallowing in darkness, gunshots and ghost towns has given the Lions a taste of the 4-year-old conflict.
Four-year-old conflict, four goals.”

“Not even the gods of famous moja moja, the ‘owner of Fako’ could rescue Cameroon.

Just like in 1972, Cameroon plays host but is denied a ticket into the finals.

Indeed the gods are angry, he remarked.

Still jubilating, another pro separatist said “Morocco’s victory over Cameroon in Limbe speaks the importance of peace in the country. You can’t jubilate in a bloody pool.”

The lions’ defeat was within the context of heavy security deployed in the seaside town of Limbe, following threats from separatist fighters who promised to disrupt the ongoing tournament.
