Prominent Journalist, Opposition Frontliner, Henriette Ekwe pays homage to Ni John Fru Ndi

Henriette Ekwe, one of Cameroon’s most recognizable names in the media has paid homage to the late National Chairman of the Social Democratic Front (SDF) Ni John Fru Ndi, who died on Monday 12 June 2023.

The journalist who is also an active member of the Union of the Peoples of Cameroon (UPC) says Ni John Fru Ndi was “One of the major pillars in the fight for the liberation of Cameroon.” According to Henriette, late Fru Ndi remains a symbol of defiance and relentlessness of Cameroonians.

Ni John Fru Ndi died in Yaoundé, at 81. To date, he is credited for ushering in the era of multi-party politics in Cameroon with the launching of the SDF in 1990.
