Two workers of the ministry of public health have been suspended for three months each by the the minister of public health.

In a decision signed by Dr. Manaouda Malachie Thursday, April 8, 2021, Bilonga Basilice with the matricule number 662 674-L and Bindzi Seme Marcelin with a matricule number 670 033-J have been suspended for corruption and extortion of money from members of the public for services they are supposed to render for free.

The decision of the minister in its article 2 states that salaries of the two workers will equally be suspended for three months. Dr. Manaouda stresses that the suspension is renewable.

Bilonga Basilice and Bindzi Seme Marcelin are working in the department of pension in the ministry of public health. A source at the ministry of public health says users of their office have often been subjected to pay for services that ought to be free.

The suspension of the two workers comes at the time when the ministry of public health is battling to justify how huge funds allocated to stop the spread of the Coronavirus in the national territory have been spent by the ministry.

To some observers, the decision of the minister of public health is just the beginning to track all those in the ministry involved in dubious dealings that lead to the disappearance of public funds into private pockets.
