Qatar 2022: England Youngsters carry their team in 6-2 win

It has been an afternoon of exciting football between England and Iran.

Despite the controversies around LGBTQ and human rights, the two teams settled into what many predicted was going to be England’s game.

The deadlock was broken at the 35th minute from England’s Jude Bellingham. This was followed in quick succession by goals from Saka and Sterling before the halftime.

The second half saw Arsenal forward Saka getting a brace, making it four for England.

Iran’s playmaker Taremi drew back one goal giving some hope to his side.

Marcus Rashford made it five for England with his first touch of the game after coming in as a substitute.

A sixth goal from Jack Grealish seemed to have been the curtains but during extra time, a penalty was awarded to Iran.

This came after some consultation of the VAR system .
