The death has been announced of one of a former SDF party’s vocal parliaments, Honorable Joseph Mbah Ndam.

Joseph Njang Mbah Ndam He is reported to have to given up the ghost on Monday April 13, 2020, after battling with an unknown illness in Yaounde, capital city of Cameroon where he has been living for months as the Anglophone crisis rages on.

Unconfirmed reports say the MP has been unwell after his convoy was attacked few months back on it’s way to his hometown in Batibo.

The Communication Secretary of the SDF confirmed the information this morning, though the party is yet to issue an official statement.

Few months back, the residence of ex- SDF Member of Parliament in Momo, was burnt down by unidentified persons

Residents were unable to put out the fire. It was however feared the fire was set on the house by suspected Ambazonia fighters who had warned the Member of Parliament against taking part in the upcoming Legislative elections.

Mbah who was also Vice President of the National Assembly has received warnings from separatists to abandon their duties in parliament in solidarity with their independence quest which turned into a bloody conflict in 2016.

The SDF lost to the CPDM following the rerun of the legislative election, but he had made several appeals at the national assembly, including protest for the crisis to be included in the House agenda to no avail.

Mbah Ndam has also challenged regime’s poor management of the Anglophone crisis on several ocassions.

The lawyer turned politician came to parliament in 1997.

He spent 22 years in the Ngoa Nkelle Glass House before he was voted out earlier this year.

He was last seen in public during an SDF press Conference in Yaounde April 4.
