The Minister of Secondary Education Nalova Lyonga has ordered the shutting down of over 106 secondary schools across the country for illegality.
In a press release published by the Secondary Education Ministry on July 29, minister Nalova Lyonga specified that these schools have violated formal legalities of creation of schools.
The proprietors of these schools have been ordered by the minister to comply with the necessary regulations and formalities of approval to get their establishments running like they used to.
School closure by the Ministry is not something new in the country. However, most of the closed schools most often still manage to operate as usual even without completing the necessary formalities as stipulated by the Secondary Education Ministry.
This is often been blamed on corrupt Education Officials willing to turn a blind eye and let the system go down the drain for some few banknotes.
