A man in his 60s is currently in paramilitary custody in Douala accused of sexually abusing an 8-year-old girl in Douala, Littoral region of Cameroon.
According to testimony from the victim, the man approached her and began inserting his fingers in her vagina.
Angered by the young girl’s confession, the population went straight for the 60-year-old and attempted to lynch him before the intervention of gendarme officers.
The man was later transported to the gendarmerie station where he has been placed under custody.
Meanwhile, the young girl has been taken to a health facility for medical attention.
