The South is a separate federal state in Cameroon – Prof. Alain Fogue

“The South has today 1st November 2019 declared itself a separate federal state from the rest of Cameroon” Professor Alain Fogue Tedom, a top official of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement political party has said.

He made the statement at the entrance to Ebolowa, capital of the South region of Cameroon. To the university don, “administrative authorities in the South region have developed and are implementing their laws with impunity regardless of laws governing the republic of Cameroon”.

He made the declaration after a delegation of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement party was blocked by armed military men at the entrance to Ebolowa in the South region.

Professor Alain Fogue Tedom also questioned why the government of Cameroon has deployed military men in the North West and South West regions killing thousands of Cameroonians who want separation while real and practical separatists are in the South region of Cameroon going their activities unperturbed.

The military men say they have been instructed by authorities not to permit militants of the CRM party organize a political rally in the entire South region.
