There has been a slight slowdown in the number of scholarships, so I am happy to present to you a new update of ‘This week in scholarships’.
Fully funded scholarships: Fully funded scholarships are those scholarships where the provider makes available funds for the grantee’s tuition, books, flight, a monthly stipend, and any other specified expenses. The fully funded scholarships this week are:
Orange Knowledge Scholarship Program: The Dutch government is offering scholarships to mid-career professionals interested in studying in the Netherlands. Scholarships are offered at the master’s level and the scholarship deadline is either 23rd March 2021 or 21st June 2021. The study destination is the Netherlands.
The Government of Quebec Merit Scholarships in 2021: The Government of Quebec is offering scholarships to international students interested in studying in Quebec. Scholarships are offered for vocational studies, doctoral studies and postdoctoral studies. The study destination is Canada.
United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability Scholarship: The United Nations University is offering scholarships for international students interested in studying in their university. Scholarships are offered at the master’s and PhD levels. The application deadline is 9th April 2021. The study destination is Japan.
Government of Azebaijan scholarships for international students: The government of Azebaijan is offering scholarships to international students interested in studying in universities in the country. Scholarships are offered at Bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels. The application deadline is February 28th, 2021. The study destination is Azebaijan.
Alliance of International Science Organizations Scholarship: This non-profit and non-governmental organization is offering scholarships to international students interested in studying in China. Scholarships are offered at the masters and doctoral level. The application deadline is March 31st 2021. The study destination is China.
Deutsche Welle Akademie Scholarship: The DW Akademie is offering scholarships to international students in the journalism and communication fields interested in studying in Germany. Scholarships are offered at the master’s level and the application deadline is March 31st 2021. The study destination is Germany.
The FAO-Hungarian Government Scholarship: The Food and Agriculture Organization in partnership with the Hungarian government is offering scholarships to international students interested in studying in two Hungarian universities. Scholarships are offered at the master’s level and the application deadline is the 28th of February 2021. The study destination is Hungary.
Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies scholarship: The Oxford Islamic center is offering scholarships to international students interested in studying at the University of Oxford in the UK. Scholarships are offered at masters and phd levels. The scholarship deadline is the 30th of June 2021 and the study destination is the UK.
Norbert Elias Fellowship for Africans: The Center for interdisciplinary research is inviting researchers interested in conducting research at the University of Beinfield. The application deadline is February 15th, 2021 and the research destination is Germany.
Bremmen International Graduate School of Social Sciences: BIGSSS is offering scholarships to international students interested in studying at their university. Scholarships are offered at the PhD level and the application deadline is 1st February 2021. The study destination is Germany.

Partially funded scholarships: These are scholarships where the scholarship provider takes care of some of the financial expenses and the students cover the rest. The partially funded scholarships this week are:
Macquarie Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships: Macquarie University is offering AUD$ 10,000 to international students interested in studying in their university. Scholarships are offered at the Bachelors’ and Masters’s levels. The application deadline isn’t stated which means it is ongoing. The study destination is Australia.
Padua International Excellence Scholarships: The University of Padua is offering 8,000 euros and tuition waiver scholarships to international students interested in going to study in their university. Scholarships are offered at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels. The application deadlines are February 2nd, 2021, and March 7th, 2021. The study destination is Italy.
Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership Scholarship: This scholarship offers $21,000 to students interested in studying anything sustainable energy-related in any university in the global south. Scholarships are offered at the master’s level and the scholarship deadline is the 8th of March 2021. The study destination is any country.
International Scholarships in Ireland: The National College of Ireland is offering scholarships to international students interested in studying at their university. Scholarships are offered at the bachelor and master levels. The application deadline is the 30th of April 2021 and study destination is Ireland.
Erling-Person international awards in public health: The university of Umea is offering scholarships to international students interested in studying in their university. Scholarships are offered at the masters and PhD levels. The application deadline is the 1st of March 2021 and the study destination is Sweden.
Helmut-Schmidt scholarship: The Willy Brand school in partnership with the German Academic Exchange Service is offering scholarships to international students interested in studying in their university. Scholarships are offered at the master’s level. The application deadline is June 1st 2021 and the study destination is Germany.
