After a barren spell from Cameroonian athletes at the just ended Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, the country will be basing their hopes on the three Cameroonian athletes who will be representing the country in this year’s Paralympic games still in Tokyo, Japan.
The three Cameroonian athletes; Marriete Lebog, Guillaume Atangana, and Mimozette Nghamsi will be partaking in 5 different disciplines of the competition.
In a farewell meeting with the Head of Government, PM Joseph Dion Ngute, they were urged to represent the country with dignity and pride.
The 16th edition of the Paralympic games is set to run till September 5, with more than 4,400 athletes from 140 delegations with their different handicap categories.
Just like with the Olympic Games, the competition will be taking place behind closed doors, with only few media men to be given access into the playgrounds due to the Covid-19 situation in Tokyo.
