Three persons have been seriously injured in a road accident moments ago in Bamenda, North West region.
The accident occured next to where waste disposal company, Hysacam dumps garbage from the town.
“A Hilux transporting foodstuff from Babanki had a brake failure and somersaulted about three times before landing right in the middle of the road,” an eyewitness says.
He adds that “three persons in the car got severely injured while the other two sustained minor injuries”.
“At the time of the accident, a nearby Gendamerie Bamendankwe control which was just about 150 meters away and had collected money from this driver for overloading was called to the scene for intervention but they all entered their vehicle and took off,” he narrates.
First responders at the scene are said to have reached out to the gendarmerie legion which is now taking care of the situation.
