To ensure waste management:Yaounde City Mayor donates tricycles to traditional rulers

The Mayor of the Yaounde city Council, Luc Atangana Messi has involved traditional leaders of Mfoundi in the management of waste which according to him is in a bid to maintain hygiene in the nation’s capital.

The donation was offered during a meeting which brought together the association of traditional rulers from the 7 subdivisions of Mfoundi.

The meeting took place at the Yaoundé city council April 20.

Also present were administrative and sanitation officials.

The meeting as well presented an opportunity for the traditional leaders to present the daily challenges they face while administering their various communities.

To this effect, the mayor donated tricycles which according to many will not only ease the collection of waste but also break down the monopoly held by the lone waste management company, HYSACAM.
