Top CDC administrator kidnapped

The manager of the industrial unit of Cameroon Development Cooperation, CDC in Pendamboko, Moungo Division in the Littoral region of Cameroon has been kidnapped.

Witnesses say, Ali Malex A Akame is reported to have been abducted by unknown armed individuals at about 1: 00 am Thursday, August 13th 2020.

According to a worker of Cameroon Development Cooperation (CDC), an agro-industrial company in Cameroon who spoke to Mimi Mefo Info on phone, the children of the the industrial unit manager were not hurt. He added that the kids have been taken to the gendarmerie in Pendamboko while investigation into the matter continues.

Besides kidnapping, the service vehicle of the manager of the industrial unit has been set ablaze.

It remains unclear who is responsible for the act, though the population is accusing separatist fighters in the South West region.

Boys fighting for the restoration of the state of southern Cameroon have in the past, vowed to cripple Cameroon’s second highest employer; the CDC.

Thousands of the company’s workers have been laid over lack of funds.
