Some North Westerners in Cameroon are doubting the government’s good intention to construct the national road number 11 aka the Ring Road. Another agreement has been signed to the tune of 106 billion Francs CFA for the construction of the road. Years ago, President Paul Biya announced he will personally supervise the construction of the road.


Over nine thousand gallons of illicit fuel have been discovered in Koutaba in the West region of Cameroon. The operation carried out by security and administrative officials noted that the house playing host to the illicit fuel belongs to one of the dealers. Two weeks ago, two trucks transporting such products were intercepted in Magba still in the Noun Division.

There is panic in Ndian Division in the South West as some divisional delegates remain in the hands of supposed separatist fighters. Security forces have been mobilized to get the officials in good health while civilians continue to live in fear. One of the six abducted divisional delegates was executed by armed separatists this Friday.

A soldier has been reportedly killed and at least three others wounded in Ekondo Titi in the South West region. They were ambushed by separatists. The injured soldiers have been evacuated to Kumba for treatment.

Cameroon has lost today at the finals of the female African Handball Cup of Nations Tournament in Yaoundé. They lost to Angola, 25-15. Angola therefore retains its crown as undisputed African handball champions.

FECAFOOT today changed the technical team of the Indomitable Lionesses squad with the appointment of a new coach and assistant. Former Indomitable Lioness, Gaelle Enganamouet was equally appointed to the position of Team Manager.

Separatist fighters in Ndian have reportedly killed one of the six delegates which they abducted some days ago. The Ambazonian Fighters had earlier said they were going to use the abducted men to set an example on the others.

Plans are underway to ensure the implementation of the 5G network in Cameroon by 2025. The information was communicated today by the Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ART).
