Artists in Cameroon say some companies are taking advantage of past division among them not to pay author’s right and they want these companies to pay their arrears. The president, of the Authors’ Rights Corporation, Dr. Ateh Francis says they will make sure that the money is recovered even if it means launching protests.
Work has temporarily stopped at a construction site in Akwa, Douala following the death of a worker at the site this day. The boy fell from the building under construction. Twenty five other workers injured are receiving treatment at Laquitini hospital after a portion of the structure collapsed.

Tenants of a three storey building at Logbessou Douala are urgently quitting the property as the building is showing signs of an eminent collapse. A suspected child rapist in Yaoundé has been apprehended and is at the Yaoundé Kondengui prison. Though the mother of the 4-year-old insists the arrested raped her child, a majority of his neighbours and others insist he didn’t do it. Investigations are still ongoing.
