Former TV presenter, Maquaire Wouaffo will in the days ahead, be heard at the Secretariat for Defence (SED), accused of raping his own daughter.
Many weeks following his disappearance from public life, the Douala-based presenter, Maquaire Wouaffo finally addressed the accusations.
Wouaffo who was fired from popular show, Jambo after the accusations, was talking to pressman, Eric Kouamo when he opened up.
“I have never raped any girl in my entire life … If you know a single woman who says she was raped by Maquaire Wouaffo, let her come testify,” he remarked, adding that he was not running, “contrary to what many believe, I had nothing to do with that girl… my supposed daughter,” he insisted referring to the victim.
Quizzed on a chat between him and the girl in question in which he made sexual advances at her, the former presenter denied to comment, citing the absence of his lawyer.
He rather kept insisting that the mother to the girl be invited on set so they talk face to face: “Let her come so we look each other straight in the eye and talk,” he demanded.
Wouaffo noted that he had been served a summons and is expected at the SED next week. He went on to deny even being the father to the girl in question.
His words: “… If I am told on the streets ‘this is Eric Kouamo’s daughter,’ I will say it is his daughter without any proof?”
Since being dismissed from the Jambo show, Wouaffo has remained far from public view, going silent when many expected him to address the controversies surrounding his exit.
His latest remarks however, have raised more sentiments, as calls for justice for the young girl continue multiply.
