Two French citizens in Madagascar have been accused of attempting to assassinate the President of Madagascar, Andry Rajoelina.
The alleged failed attempt on the president’s life happened on Tuesday, consequently leading to the arrest and incarceration of 6 individuals.
The suspects consist of both foreigners and Malagasy citizens according to French Media, TV5 Monde.
Among the arrested are two French citizens, both retired French soldiers. The two Frenchmen called, Phillip F. and Paul have now been detained by Malagasy security, while further investigations continue to uncover the plot behind the president’s assassination attempt.
