Two persons have been shot dead in Luh, a village in Ndu subdivision of the North West region of Cameroon.
This was early Sunday morning when soldiers raided the village. Sources say their target was Jasper, a popular driver living in the area.
Jasper, our source says, “… Was apparently the target had his residence surrounded at night.”
“Early in the morning gunshots were fired in his compound and as he rushed into his car to escape, he was shot and the car tumbled into the compound of his uncle,” the source adds.
Banwei, a bike rider and the soldiers’ second target, MMI is informed, was shot dead in front of the village Catholic Church after dropping a passenger.
“Christians having prayer a session early Sunday morning were panic stricken as they heard gunshots from all directions in the village,” our source explains in a shivering voice.
Incidents like those of this morning are fast becoming the norm, as soldiers and separatist fighters wreak havoc in several communities in the North West and South West regions.
For close to four years today, both sides have failed to come to a compromise, making millions of innocent civilians victims.
