Two people have died in Ngaoundere, Adamawa Region, after a motorcycle was hit by a heavyduty truck on Sunday night.
The two men, who were traveling peacefully from Ngoundere to Dang on a motorcycle, met their end abruptly near the AFISA factory when their bike was violently struck by a heavily loaded semi-trailer truck.
The impact was fatal: two of the motorcycle occupants lost their lives instantly, crushed beneath the weight of the truck.
A third passenger, seriously injured, is fighting for survival and is receiving intensive care in a city hospital.
According to initial testimonies gathered at the scene, an unsafe overtaking maneuver is believed to have caused the tragedy, throwing the motorcycle and its occupants under the semi-trailer.
Yet another road in mourning, yet more families shattered.
Caution remains a matter of life or death.
