Two years after Kumba massacre: 12-year-old survivor dies after drastic fall

The family of one of the survivors of the Kumba massacre by name, Golden James, has been in pain following his demise on October 24, 2022, in Kumba, South West Region of Cameroon.

On October 24, 2020, unidentified gunmen stormed the Mother Francisca International Memorial Bilingual College in Fiango, where they killed at least 7 children, leaving at least 12 wounded.

Golden James, who happened to be one of the victims of the attack underwent a successful operation after receiving a bullet in the stomach.

According to reports, the 12-year-old, on Monday, October 24, pleaded with his parents that they should visit and pray for one of his peers who happened to be absent from church the previous day.

“The child was part of their Sunday school and he didn’t come to church on Sunday. So he told me, to go along with him and pray for the child,” narrated Golden James’ mother.

While on their way back from the friend’s place, the 12-year-old old stumbled and fell drastically on the stitched stomach. He later gave up the ghost.

“His tongue began bleeding, he didn’t make any noise, no sound,” added the mother of the deceased.

According to the parents, the demise of their son is in line with God’s eill as they believe Golden James has accomplished his mission here on earth.
