The health of Foncham Dobgima Ndi Forgu, a student of the University of Buea awaiting graduation in December this year, is in jeopardy following an armed robbery attack.
He was attacked by robbers in the nation’s capital, Yaounde, on September 20, 2022 after taking part in a government recruitment exams.
“My elder brother went to Yaounde to write an exam and on his way back from writing he was hit on the head by thieves with an iron and had severe blood clots,” said a family source.
The 19-year-old was moved to several hospitals, with the last being the Military hospital in Youande for medical attention.
Family sources say most hopitals could not admit the case due to the delicate nature of the patient.
“After being rejected by five different hospitals in Yaounde he was finally admitted at the Military Hospital in Yaounde beside Emia where the doctors did a scan and needed to do an emergency surgery which cost 1.5 million” the family source told MMI.
“In the course of the surgery, they found other complications like broken bones likely to cause further complications like epilepsy and other illnesses which can cause him to pass out at anytime in few months or in the nearest future, if not treated properly”
According to the family, the doctors advised for his evacuation to India for specialist medical care.
