Two students are reported to have died in a road accident in Toumaka, not far from Mbouda, capital of the Bamboutos Division of the West Region of Cameroon.
According to reports, the students, four in number, boarded a bike in front of their school (Lycée de Bamendjinda) immediately after classes.
Their bike ended up in a ghastly accident along the way, leaving two students dead on the spot.
The two other students, severely injured, were rushed to a nearby hospital and are said to be under intensive care.
The bike rider is reported to have emerged from the said incident safe and sound.
The incident comes a day after a form 4 student in Yaounde was also knocked down from a bike and killed while on her way to school.
