A teenager, Evariste is reported by several media organs to have lost his life in Bassamba, some 20km away from Bagangté in the Ndé Division, West Region. Reports say after he got the victim was killed in a brawl with a Cannabis supplier in his neighborhood called Belmondo.
Evariste is said to have paid the sum of 250FCFA for the drug.
After haven received the money, Belmondo the alleged dealer was unwilling to supply to the said drug, as well as to refund the money he had collected for the drug.
He argued that Evariste was too young to start consuming drugs, reports say.
The disagreement over the refund of the money soon got heated and physical. In the course of the brawl between the pair, Belmondo, the cannabis seller drew out a knife and stabbed the boy Evariste with it, leading to his death, it is alleged.
At press time, the suspect remains on the run as security forces have launched a manhunt for him.
