Since the CameroonConstitutional Council confirmed the French nationality of Hervé Emmanuel Nkom, many are beginning to wonder whether the 66-year-old politician will be ejected from the CPDM party.According to the statutes of the CPDM, “to be a member of the party, one must: be Cameroonian of either sex…”, leaving doubts as to whether Emmanuel Nkom who is a banker by training also lost his position of member of the Central Committee of the party.The fervent CPDM supporter, it should be noted, has justified military brutality in the anglophone regions in the course of the ongoing armed conflict.
