A woman is said to have eliminated a newborn baby, belonging to her co-wife.
The incident occurred Saturday in Ebonji in the South West region.
According to reports, the baby was poisoned on Friday, at the maternity ward, barely after being put to birth.
The woman is said to have hide a liquid famously known as “Mocap” insecticide in her fingernails which she discreetly inserted into the baby’s mouth.
“After taking back the baby in her arms, the mother noticed a strong smell from the baby’s mouth. It smelled exactly Mocap” A source said adding that “Within few seconds, the newborn baby no longer showed sign of life”.
After thorough investigations, the liquid which was used by the co-wife of the baby’s mother was discovered hidden in a heap of dirts around their home.
