Yaoundé: 29-year-old car washer found dead

The body of a 29-year-old car washer by the name Ndaffe Camel has been discovered early yesterday morning, in the Jouvence neighborhood in Yaoundé, behind Total Mendong (Also known as Total Jouvence).

While some believe that the young Camel was the victim of mob justice, others believe that he was killed as a result of a parcel of land.

The visual examination of the victim’s body however revealed traces of torture, according to several witnesses. Next to his body were spotted broken stones and pieces of wood that would certainly have been used in his murder.

The family is bewildered as there was nothing to suggest that Camel could be killed as he was calm and went about his daily activities as normal:

“I came home yesterday around noon and saw my brother at home. We ate the fried rice that mom made together, and there was nothing untoward to have suggested this could happen. He did not have any enemies that I know of, because he is a really hardworking man,” revealed a sister of the deceased.

“I later asked him 500 FCFA to go to work. In the afternoon, he left the house before me. This morning I only learn that he was killed,” She went on.

The gendarmerie brigade which descended to the scene announced that an investigation has been opened to find out the real causes of this suspicious death.
