Forces of law and order have apprehended a 35-year-old lady at the Biscuiterie neighborhood in the Yaoundé VI Subdivision for the production and peddling of fake official documents.
The arrest took place on June 14th, following several reports made by inhabitants of the neighborhood of the proliferation of fake documents.
A group of security officials sent to the neighborhood searched through the alleged culprit’s house and realized she had established a whole work center within it.
Several falsified documents were found in her possession, together with a printer, and all sorts of official stamps. Also found at her residence were two computers, four USB flash drivers which contained falsified bank and court declarations, and a photocopy machine.
According to reports, the suspect is well known by her entourage, for specializing in the production of fake documents such as; birth certificates, and school certificates, to mention a few.
The 35-year-old lady is currently being detained at the Nlongkak Gendarmerie in Yaoundé for investigation.
