Parents are outraged after news broke out that the gatekeeper of a private school in the Beatitude neighborhood in Yaoundé raped a 10-year-old pupil.
This gatekeeper is believed to have perpetrated the act several times.
According to sources, the parents of the little girl started being suspicious given the girl’s gloomy face every time she returned from school.
After interrogations, the girl opened up and said she was constantly being violated by their gatekeeper every time school closed.
Medical tests done at a hospital confirmed the little girl’s claim. Angered by this, the girl’s mother mobilized a mob that seized the suspected pedophile and got him manhandled.
He was however saved by the intervention of the forces of law and order. He is currently under detention, with investigations to follow suit.
