Another horrible story has been uncovered in the Anguissa neighborhood in Yaoundé, Center Region.
It is that of an 8-year-old girl called Lum Favour, who is believed to be going through hell in the hands of her aunt and her uncle.
According to testimonies, the little girl is tortured at every given opportunity by the people she also considers as her mother and father. The torture, MMI gathered has sometimes even led to her bleeding.
“Most of the times Favour had to sleep with the neighbors after getting locked out of the house,” recounted a source.
Neighbors also told us that Favour has on several occasions been starved by her aunt, after the habitual tortures.
Several attempts made to save the little girl from the shackles of the said aunt have proven futile.
We were equally told that the landlord of the compound had reported the child abuse case to the police, but nothing ever came out of it.
The girl’s real mother is reportedly in Bamenda, in the North West Region, and is believed to be completely oblivious of what is happening to her daughter in Yaoundé.
