The mortal remains of popular televangelist, Bishop Dr. Tsalla Essomba, were laid to rest today Saturday, August 21, 2021 in his native village, Nkol-Nlong near Ngoumou in the Centre region.

The founder and chief shepherd of the Go and Tell International Ministries based in Yaounde, quit the stage last July 17, 2021.

The body of the late Bishop was removed from the Yaounde General Hospital Mortuary on Thursday and later taken to the Temple of All Nations Church in Yaounde.

There, thousands of Christians, friends and sympathisers turned up to pay tribute to the deceased servant of God.

During the funeral service, one of his close collaborators, Pastor Atangana urged members of the Go and Tell International Church to remain steadfast to God and to the ministry despite the passing away of their spiritual leader.

“When Jesus was on earth, he had disciples with him and when it was time for him to leave, he left the ministry to his disciples who carried on with his mission. Our mentor is gone but he left behind his wife as the head, who has been groomed not only by him but also with the help of the Holy Spirit,” said Atangana.

Bishop Essomba’s demise last July 17, came as a shock to the Christian community, especially those of his church.

Among them is Eyina Crescence who has resorted to find solace in the message of love from her pastor.

“Bishop Tsalla Essomba was a very loving man and a father to everyone. I have just one word and that is love. Love for God and love for brethren,” she uttered.

Born on August 3, 1959, he was called to ministry in February 1992. After spiritually impacting the lives of millions, the reputed man of God returned to his Creator at the age of 62. He was also the promoter of Canal-vie television channel and the Fréquence-vie radio station all based in Yaounde.
