Yaoundé: Step son butchers sleeping father to death with axe

A young boy is reported to have butchered his stepfather to death in Yaounde, Center Region, with the use of an axe.

The tragic incident occurred on Monday 9, 2023 precisely in the Nkoldongo neighborhood.

The man whose name MMI got as Belibi was brutally assassinated while he was asleep in his room by his stepson, said to be a secondary school student.

Immediately after carrying out the macabre act, the young boy rushed to his friend’s house to seek refuge, but will sooner or later be traced by the forces of security.

The young boy justified his act by stating that his father “annoyed him and his mother.”

He revealed that he was tired of seeing his mother shedding tears endlessly because of his stepfather.

The young boy was, however, arrested and detained at the Kondengui prison as investigations unfold.
