Many have been left stranded after demolitions were carried out by the government in Dragage, a neighborhood in Yaounde, Center Region of Cameroon.
The demolitions were carried out yesterday afternoon, August 26, 2022.
According to a source, notices were given to the landlords of their various houses. Some of their tenants however say but the landlords decided to keep the news to themselves for some selfish reasons.
“They gave notices to the house owners, but they didn’t inform the people renting in their houses, since they were expecting rent from them,” a source told MMI.
Several inhabitants have since been left stranded and homeless as a result of the massive demolitions.
