Yaounde VI DO orders resumption of activities by sealed Miniferme snack bars

By Amina Hilda

The Divisional Officer for Yaounde VI, Joseph Alain Etoundi has ordered the resumption of activities in snack establishments.

The administrative authority recently sealed several snacks in his jurisdiction shortly after the murder of a presidential guard.

According to a release signed on June 29 by the  DO, snacks located in the Melen neighborhood and surrounding areas were to be shutdown for a period of thirty days.

Joseph Alain ETOUNDI justified his decision by highlighting “the insecurity caused by the said structures and cases of aggression recorded all around, the noise pollution, the  late closure of these establishments among others.”

Chief Sergeant Mettomo, serving in the presidential guard, was stabbed to death  at a place called Miniferme, known to be a high place of debauchery in Yaoundé.
