Bafut: Bike rider killed by military for his hairstyle buried

The commercial biker who was killed a week ago in Bafut, Mezam division of the North West region by the military allegedly for his hairstyle has been interred.

Jonas Ngwa was buried Wednesday August 31, 2022 in Ayang Mambu Bafut.

Family members, friends and young people bid farewell to him in grieve.

“This is a sad day for us all, he was a civilian and not a Separatists, trying to make ends meet, today we are saddened it’s the end for him,” one of his friends cried out.

MMI had published an earlier report detailing how Ngwa, a bike rider was about “dropping off a passenger at Mile 11, Bafut, few metres away from the a police control post, when he was accosted by an officer.”
