One person has been confirmed dead and several others injured after a restaurant building collapsed in Bangangte, West Region of Cameroon.
The building said to be a two-floor story building collapsed on the evening of Sunday, October 9, 2022, at about 6 pm.
Reports reveal that the second floor of the restaurant collapsed on the first floor, which, unfortunately, happened to be a restaurant full of customers.
According to ActuCameroon, the Senior Divisional of Ndé later, “… Arrived at the scene to assess the damage and take urgent measures.”
Many have attributed the collapse to poor construction.
A similar incident occurred at “Marché D’oignons”, Douala a few weeks back, which cost the lives of 2 children.
