11 persons are feared dead in a plane crash today. Reports say the plane crashed after taking off from the Nsimalen International Airport in Yaounde.
Guardians of two girls declared missing in Bamenda are being detained in Yaounde. They are being held at the behest of a Pastor who found their daughters and took them in. Sources say the pastor is unhappy after relatives of the girls took the issue to the media.
The Garoua Regional Hospital Centre has received state-of-the-art equipment. The facility was inaugurated by PM, Dion Ngute. The PM also used his visit to the North to meet administrative and health authorities.
Lendzemo Fonban, publisher of The Astute Ink newspaper has lashed out at members of the Cameroon Association of English Speaking Journalists, CAMASEJ. Responding to a notice handed him demanding an apology within 72 hours, he said members of the association had failed to correct him gently, with some using his utterances on national TV to insult him. He had appeared on CRTV’s Press hour in Sunday where he made controversial remarks on the situation of press freedom in Cameroon.
