Cameroon has kicked off its campaign at the 2025 Men’s U20 African Nations Volleyball Championship in Cairo, Egypt, with an impressive victory over Kenya.

Playing in Pool B alongside Morocco, Kenya, and Rwanda, the young Lions showed character and determination to secure a 3–1 win in their opening match.

The game lasted nearly two hours and kept fans on edge, especially in the second set where Cameroon narrowly lost 27–29.

Despite that setback, they regrouped and came back stronger, taking the third set 25–21 and sealing the win with a commanding 25–17 in the fourth.

With this result, Cameroon sits at the top of Pool B after the first round of matches.

The victory is an important boost for the team as they aim to qualify for the next stage of the championship.

Morocco and Rwanda remain tough opponents in the group, but Cameroon’s confident start suggests they are ready to fight for a leading spot.

Their resilience against Kenya, especially after dropping a set, has sent a strong signal that they are in Cairo to compete at the highest level.

The coming games will determine whether Cameroon can hold onto its momentum and push for a deep run in the competition, but their first outing has already shown promise and raised hopes for another strong performance on the continental stage.
