“Beside that, seniority bonuses and other advantages have been suspended for a period of one year” said the source.
The official of BBH Kumbo has stated that the financial donations are mainly voluntary and not compulsory for staff.
Amos Wirngo adds that CBCHS has suspended all building projects .
“The priority now is the purchase of drugs and the payment of salary of workers. Let me state categorically that salaries have not been reduced by CBCHS as earlier stated by some media organs.”
The official indicates that the measures are temporal just to ensure CBCHS regain it’s financial strength.
Despite this , some workers of the health services have condemn the measures saying it affects mostly low income earners of the company.
Before the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic in Cameroon, CBCHS has been experiencing issues due to constant insecurity that scare patients from visiting the hospital for medical assistance.
