Two persons have been killed and two others injured after a Camrail train crushed a vehicle on the
Yaoundé – Belabo track in the Center Region of Cameroon.
The information is disclosed in a public notice by the Cameroon Railway Company on October 17, 2022.
The incident, which occurred on October, 16, 2022, cost the life of two persons and left two others severely injured, as their vehicle attempted to cross the railway.
“… A passenger vehicle registered CE 879 MT was hit from behind when crossing the PK 376+500 level crossing between Mbandjock and Tabene stations in the Center region, on October 16, 2022, by train 903 Sa, along the Yaoundé – Belabo track,” disclosed the railway company in the public notice.
It went ahead to express its condolences to the families of the deceased, and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
The railway company has urged the public to more vigilance when crossing the rail tracks.
