Some commercial bikers of the Dschang-Bafoussam stretch in the West Region of Cameroon have blocked roads to express their dissatisfaction over extortion by forces of law and order.
The enraged bike riders stormed the stretch in huge numbers as they hindered circulation. In their protest, they decried constant corruption by the forces of order.
“500 Fcfa morning, 500 Fcfa noon, 500 Fcfa afternoon, 500 Fcfa evening, 500 Fcfa midnight, 500 Fcfa afternoon,” they decried, noting that they have had enough.
The situation is directly as a result of what they term uncountable number of control posts along the stretch.
The extortion, they say, has posed a great worry to drivers along stretches in Cameroon. They however hope their cry will be heard, with proper actions put in place to remedy the situation.
