There has been several controversies sorrounding the whereabouts of buses used for the transportation of AFCON delegates and other personnels.
According to an investigative report by the state media, the buses were rented for 53 days.
It was confirmed through the minister of transport who claimed that “During the last AFCON, the government got into contact with a private company to hire not only these buses, but equally other official vehicles for CAF and FIFA officials, present in Cameroon for 53 days.”
He added “The government never bought those buses, we simply hired them so it is left for the contractors to do whatever he wishes to do with the vehicles after the AFCON.”
According to the Ministry of transport their role was just to make use of the buses during the organization of the African Cup Of Nations.
