Residents in Bamessing, Ndop in the North West region say some 10 people killed in the area by the military were abandoned on the roadside.
They include a pregnant lady, a one year old kid and about eight others.
MMI has been informed residents have since fled Bamissing for safety.
“Those that escaped from the hands of military ran to nearby villages where life has been so hard for them because they can’t get access to food” a source told MMI Monday. It remains unclear whether the abandoned corpses have been taken for burial as access to the site is difficult due to insecurity.
Residents say members of the armed forces are using the above metals in attacks on them
In addition, the Ndop – Bamenda road is said to be blocked as violent clashes between Ambazonian fighters and military soar in Bamessing.
Bamessing village is one of four villages that make up Ndop central Central Sub Division, and one of thirteen villages of Ngoketunjia division of the North West region of Cameroon.
It is located along the ring road from Bamenda, some 38 km from the town of Bamenda.
Being on the Bamenda-Nkambe stretch of the ring road just before Bamunka (Ndop town), Bamesing has been one of the hardest hit localities in the restive North West and South West region since the Anglophone Crisis escalated into an armed conflict. The war is now in its 4th year.
