Luc Perry Wandji, of the Cameroon Radio Television, CRTV is said to have been suspended.
The action was taken against him after a social media post where he criticised those defending president Biya in the light of the recent exchange between French president Macron and activist Calibri.
In the post, Luc Perry said he had just followed a badly rendered comment by Ernest Obama of Vision 4 TV, “a text insulting to the French president.”
The journalist also criticises Ernest Obama for referring to activist Calibri Calibro as a “terrorist”.
To him, it is necessary to engage in a “frank dialogue which leads us towards an authentic reconciliation.”
Regarding Ernest Obama’s article, the CRTV journalist said what strikes him more “is the grotesque and falsely patriotic character of a work that aims to be journalistic and that deals with subtle and serious things”
“However, when you pretend to defend President Biya, you must have a minimum of talent and intelligence” added Luc Perry.
At press time however, there is no official document indicating the suspension.
Following Calibri’s outing in France, several other regime apologists have like Obama taken on different media outlets to defend the Biya regime with some explaining that Macron has no right interfere in Cameroon’s affairs.
