The National Communication Secretary of the SDF Party has criticised Government’s suspicious silence since the assassination of SDF’s Senator Henry Kemende in Bamenda. Mr. Denis Nkemlemo has said the Government must provide answers and get to the bottom of what happened to the Senator of the Republic.
Reports say a religious leader in Buea, Rev. Fr Tobias Bekong has been arrested by the forces of law and order. The priest was beaten up before being carted away from the St. Charles Lwanga Catholic Church in Molyko, Buea.
An individual is believed to have vandalised a statue at the Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral in Douala. The vandal who has been identified as a Pentecostal denominational Christian is said to have done so after claiming he was ordered divinely to shatter all statues in Catholic Churches.

Two persons were killed in Buea today after they got into an army-separatists crossfire. The victims, a taxi driver and farmer, were en route to Bwitingi when they got killed. Separatists had attempted to interrupt preparations for Group F games of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations but were stopped by the forces of law and order.
The Mayor of Bafoussam has informed all football fans that henceforth, supporters will be transported to the Kuekong stadium to watch games for free. This move is seen by many as a strategy to boost the turnout in the stadiums which has been relatively low.
