A teacher is in custody in Bafoussam, West Region, after he was accused of sexually violating a pupil. The pupil returned home some days ago bleeding, causing her parents to take her to hospital. The teacher was later arrested after the child said he had violated her multiple times.


Several houses in Boh-Munyaka, Bali Nyonga in the North West Region have been left in ruins following a military raid. Locals say during the raid which started on Tuesday, soldiers made away with the money they found as they destroyed houses.


A man in Bafoussam attempted to take away his life by hanging on a tree but was rescued by the population. His action was allegedly caused by his wife running away from home with their children


A house was today razed down by fire in Maroua, Far North Region. It reportedly came from a bush fire near the house. Firefighters arrived too late to save the house from significant damage.

A resident of Gungong, Bali has reportedly died after being shot by military men on his way to the Bali Market. The military is also believed to have tried pinning the death of the victim called Ba Tagwe Ferdinand on separatist fighters.




FECAFOOT has today released six names retained for the upcoming Presidential Elections at the Cameroon Football Federation. The most popular candidates on the list are incumbent President, Seidou Mbombo Njoya, and Samuel Eto’o Fils.
