Twelve out of seventy nine development projects have been executed in Donga Mantung division since the beginning of the year 2019, authorities have revealed.

Six are under execution while sixty one remain untouched barely two months to the end of the finance year 2019.

This has given a 13.4% execution rate of public investment projects in Donga Mantung division.

In a meeting of members of the follow- up committee for the execution of public investment projects in the division on the 17th of October 2019, officials pointed at insecurity in the division for being largely responsible for the poor execution.

On some of the projects named as haven executed this year, the beneficiaries, Fon village and community leaders of Misaje sub division decries the poor execution of Bebekete/Bebejama road. According to Mayor Sammy Mbattagt, the road was mainly bulldozed but not graded as stipulated on the public investment document of the division.

The Divisional Chairman of the follow up committee says the 183 million francs budget has been mismanaged.

On the construction of a kilometer road deviation and a 12 meters bridge in Rom village, members of the followup committee noticed that there is a severe case of embezzlement involving both the contractor and workers of anti corruption body CONAC.

The senior divisional officer for Donaga Mantung division who doubles as the president of the followup committee for the execution of public investment projects called for probity and consciousness. Simon Nkwenti Ndoh acknowledged the presence of insecurity but calls for hard work.
Unpaid dues.

For one year, members of the follow-up committee for the investment of public investment projects in Donga Mantung division say they have not received their dues. On who is responsible, they point accusing fingers on the divisional controller of finance Nkam Lawrence Yong, divisional treasurer Wembengui David Tungley and the divisional delegate of MINEPAT Tabe Leo.

The group disgruntled members of the commission say have been playing tricks over their money. Efforts to get the accused react have so far yielded no fruits
